Welcome to Barefoot Space, we don’t just work with muscles—we team up with your fascia, the body’s connective tissue with a PhD in multitasking.

Fascia isn’t just a stretchy suit holding you together; it’s the body’s gossip hotline to the brain, constantly spilling secrets about tension, trauma, and safety. When it tightens up, it’s like your body’s way of saying, “Not now, I’m busy protecting you.” But don’t worry, fascia secretly loves a good “release” so to speak, it’s really just waiting for the right conditions.

Cue your Barefoot Massage Therapist, swooping in with their feet like fascia voodoo whisperers. With grounded, deliberate pressure, they speak the fascia’s language, making your body go, “Finally, someone who gets me!” It might feel like magic, but it’s more like your body’s long-lost friend showing up with snacks and solutions.

Benefits? Oh, we’ve got those: - 🌬 Nervous system chill mode activated - 🌀 Fascia freed without the drama - 🧠 Emotional baggage checked - 🧘‍♀️ Flexibility, stability, and circulation on point

Our barefoot massage technique employs Passive, Active, and Resisted Range of Motion (ROM) stretch therapy methods. The Massage Therapist stands on the massage table, using their feet to skillfully manipulate the client's limbs, leveraging the strength of their legs and hips. Grasping overhead bars and relying on suspended support straps for balance, the therapist lifts, bends, and twists the client into various stretches. This technique allows the practitioner to apply consistent pressure and achieve counterbalance, facilitating deep point holds and extensive fascial stretches.

Additionally, we compress or align the client's compensating body parts into a neutral position while facilitating a range of motion across all major joints. The Barefoot Massage Therapist observes the client's movement patterns and guides them through resisted actions, fostering joint stability and enhancing interoceptive awareness during passive fascial stretching and proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation.

Mobility/ROM and massage therapy are recognized for their benefits in treating numerous chronic conditions, including back pain, arthritis, bursitis, fatigue, high blood pressure, diabetes, immune suppression, depression, and more.

Meet Dawn, a licensed, insured, and Board Certified Myofascial Barefoot Massage Therapist who combines anatomical precision, intuitive movement, and a hint of fascia magic. With experience as a Yoga Practitioner & Instructor, Mobility Coach, and CrossFit Trainer, she brings a well-rounded approach to healing that feels both grounded and extraordinary.

As the founder of Barefoot Space, the only barefoot massage practice in New York State, Dawn specializes in FasciAshi Barefoot Massage—a deep-tissue myofascial technique performed entirely with the feet. Her fascia-focused work is uncannily precise, often leaving clients wondering, “How did she know exactly where to go?” Some call it technique; her clients call it magic.

But her focus isn’t just on the body—it’s on the person. Dawn deeply understands her clients’ stories, feelings, and changing needs. She creates a supportive environment where people feel seen, safe, and cared for, whether they’re recovering from injury, dealing with stress, or looking to reconnect with themselves.

She is especially devoted to supporting women through perimenopause and menopause, offering movement strategies, fascia-based bodywork, and empathetic conversations to help them navigate changes like joint stiffness, sleep issues, emotional shifts, and body image concerns with strength and confidence.

Dawn also works with athletes of all levels, sizes, and disciplines. Whether you’re a weekend warrior, competitive lifter, dancer, climber, or someone who enjoys intentional movement, she understands that athleticism takes many forms. Her treatments help with recovery, improve mobility, and foster a strong connection between athletes and their bodies.

In addition to massage, Dawn leads Mobility Classes and provides personalized yoga and strength training sessions tailored to each client’s unique goals and needs.

Licensed Massage Therapist NY State License - 030105-01

Erika Hill is a graduate of the Center for Natural Wellness and a licensed, insured, and passionate Myofascial Barefoot Massage Therapist who believes in holistic and inclusive care for all. Her journey into massage therapy was sparked by a desire to help people manage pain with compassion, curiosity, and whole-body awareness.

After massage school, Erika discovered FasciAshi Barefoot Massage—and it was love at first step. She dove deep into the modality, completing an intensive 80-hour Myofascial Barefoot Massage internship and dedicating herself to mastering the art of working with her feet.

Years later, Erika is an absolute powerhouse. Her practice has flourished, her technique is razor-sharp, and her clients rave about her ability to deliver slow, deep, effective work with grounded presence and intuitive flow.

Fascia is this amazing, yet mysterious “tissue”, but somehow Erika always knows what’s needed. She also knows the magic and mystique of Fascia is backed by science. After attending the 7th International Fascia Congress, she embraced the phrase “Fascia No VooDoo” with enthusiasm, honoring both the wonder and the research behind this connective tissue that holds us together—literally and energetically.

Outside Barefoot Space, Erika finds joy in music, quality time with her dog, and meaningful moments with family and friends. She lives by the motto: life’s too short for all work and no play—and her vibrant energy reflects that truth in everything she does.
